When you come to The Return of the Tentmaker expect to get involved!

You will meet and hear from several highly successful, very human, tried and tested men of God with one focus - to help you become a Tentmaker or improve your Tentmaking.  These men are pros so you won't get a stump speech.  You will receive a focused, Biblically grounded, born out of experience life lesson.

You will do more than take notes.  You will participate in developing your own LifeMap that will expand and get refined throughout the day.  If you bring your laptop or cell phone you can email or text message questions to any speaker or through out the day.  We will answer them during each session and during the Q&A.

This map will help you evaluate the paths you took at the many crossroads of your life and prepare you for the next time God taps you on the shoulder.

Jim will also share a dramatic story how God first tapped him on the shoulder and how we can prepare for anything God may place in your path.

The Map - will be a tool throughout the seminar.

David O'Hara as been highly successful guiding people in finding their identity in Christ and just as important, discovering the false identities they hold onto.  When God calls - it will take you outside your comfort zone.  That means risk, uncertainty and challenges.  The source of your identity will determine your ability to respond to that call.  Dave brings his highly practical insights to help you identify what has held you back in the past or may be getting in the way in the present.

You will map out the various identities that describe who you are and identify the root (sources) for those so that you can find a stronger identity in Christ.

Joe Ryan has functioned at the highest levels within corporate America.  He retired to help Christ Fellowship build a leadership infrastructure that enabled it to grow from 3000 - 17,000.  When Joe left that position to take over a company in Colorado he soon discovered that many churches need help developing a balanced leadership approach.

Joe will take you through a model to understand four leadership styles with four competiting values.

You will map out your church's leadership team and match that with your leadership style to better indentify how you can bring the most value in support of your leaders.

2:45 PM

Wayne Smith will bring his excellent training skills and an exercise from Halftime that helps you identify your Core strengths, your current Capacity for ministry and the optimum Context to excel.

A few men can make a huge difference.  And it is Leadership Network's mission to find these few, to connect them to others, to form "an industry" of their peers and to do what it takes to encourage them to put on teaching events for other leaders who want to extend God's Kingdom in our time.  It doesn't take many and the small boost of encouragement we provide is leverage many times over.

You will map our strengths, you current Capacity and design the optimum Context for ministry.

3:30 PM

Carl Raschke - When the internet was first invented, it was all about “web pages” and “client-server” relationships.  Now it’s all about blogs and wikis – interactive media.  The first digital technology was “static” and was called Web 1.0.  The new generation is “dynamic” or participant-driven and is called Web 2.0.

The same thing is happening today with “church”.  In his best-selling book Revolution Christian pollster and trend-watcher George Barna notes that while more and more Americans have stopped “going to church” in the traditional sense, more and more are “practicing Christianity”, though in unconventional ways.

These “churches” are no longer “places” at which, or formal organizations through which, specific kinds of Christian events regularly take place.  They are events themselves.  Call this phenomenon “Church 2.0”.

In this workshop Dr. Raschke will explain how this new form of “church that is not a church” comes closer to what Jesus had in mind than what even the most hip and cutting-edge churches of today.   He will show how Church 2.0 holds the most promise in our globalized postmodern world of fulfilling the Great Commission which Jesus gave to us.

The workshop will provide practical methods of making church “incarnational” and “situational” as opposed to “attractional” and “organizational.”  Participants will map their life connections, commitments, and relationships and learn how these concrete factors can be transformed into an ongoing “Christ event.”

4:15PM

Rex Miller along with Jim Carroll will help you tie all of this together by taking the LifeMap you created, tie it to what God is saying to you and prepare yourself to take the Hero's journey.
